Taking it Hard is Not the Opposite of Taking it Easy
School is over in little less than a week. Yay! That means I can get back to work on my fanfiction. ;P Man, I am such a dork.
But I've also been taking this Creative Writing class, so I've written a lot for my portfolio. I've come up with at least two very solid stories that I'm going to continue to revise. I also revisited an earlier story that I worked on heavily in this class and... I think it's about ready for publication.
Eep.
Can you consider yourself a writer even if you never get anything published? Or do you need a certain amount of items published before you're a writer? Or does one only need the motivation and a certain number of hours spend writing a week to be a writer? Anyone have any thoughts on this? My take: I've considered myself a writer for the last five years. But besides winning one award in high school, I've never been recognized officially as a writer.
Anyway, I've worked a bit on the second chapter to It is Time, but I haven't even touched Hagaren Country since I wrote that first chapter months and months ago. :P But summer is coming for me very soon and I'll have plenty of time to waste on frivolous fanfiction...
And watch House.
Okay, back to homework. Yes, it is 10 in the morning, but I'm up doing homework. >.
